ACME Comic Con is back in town this September

The excitement is building for the arrival of Scotland’s biggest convention ACME Autumn ‘Comic Con’ taking place Saturday 23rd and Sunday 24th of September in Hall 4 of one of Glasgow’s finest venues, the SEC Centre in 2023.

Watch out for some well-known names in the world of Marvel, Comics, Sci-fi, anime and of course gaming who will be in attendance. Whether you are a first time Comic Con attendee or a veteran of attending an event, prepare to be mesmerised by the sheer volume of special guests, attractions, and cosplay. Make sure to allow enough time to browse through the plethora of exhibitors stands on display at the venue to pick up any merchandise or collectible items that may be on your wish list.

This year’s special guests in attendance include John Wagner, James Mackenzie, Christina Chong, and Chris Barrie. All will take to the stage over the weekend to take part in fascinating conversations and enjoy some interactive Q&As with you the audience.

If you find yourself on ‘Geek street’ this is where you get to indulge yourself with some insta moments. Stand in awe beside some fun props for photo ops beside famous characters. On ‘Artists Alley’ get up close and personal with some truly talented artists and creators to see how they work. The kids’ zone and retro games area are also worth stopping by over the weekend.

Perhaps the reason why this convention works like no other is due to the fandom meet ups. If you have similar interests in common include anime. Cosplay or Star Trek, you’ll find your tribe right here in Glasgow this weekend.
The Ambassador Hotel Glasgow is located a 15-minute drive from the SEC Glasgow, or easily accessible by public transport. We have a choice of single, twin, and triple occupancy rooms available this weekend starting from only £48 per person sharing per night. Make sure book early and book direct for best availability.
