Excellent choice of hotel for attending nearby wedding We booked this hotel to be near to attend a wedding at the Engine Works, we were going in the evening, so spent the afternoon nearby. The room we were provided with was like a apartment in the adjacent part of hotel and were delighted with the room, power shower and size and very clean and had key to get in late at night. We were able to part behind the hotel. We had breakfast the next day which was great. Really pleased with hotel as it was so near the westend and would definitely recommend and book hotel again if in Glasgow. Lovely service from staff during stay.

Lovely Glasgow West End hotel room. Traditional hotel. Friday night price £130 room only. Lovely hotel. Located in heart of Glasgow west end. Room very nicely decorated and the largest room I have been allocated in a city hotel. We were in room 21 , which is in the adjacent building next door. Easy access with a 24 hour key front door. En suite a bit small in relation to room size but no big deal. Shower only, no bath. Very helpful receptionist assisted with taxi for us to get to a wedding at Engine Works. ( we could have walked but it was raining)

Our regular West End bolt hole Clean and well equipped. Parking and good location - what’s not to like? Great for all of the West End attractions and handy for gigs at the Hydro complex as well for escaping to the countryside. Recommended

Great location, great staff, tiny room We had to go to Glasgow for a funeral and decided to stay an extra night revisit some of our old haunts around Byres Road. The Ambassador has the absolutely perfect location just around from the Botanic Gardens overlooking the river Kelvin. Staff were great - so helpful with taxis and info. It's quiet and with easy access and in a really beautiful spot in the city. We booked what I think was the last available room - a twin on the ground floor. It was TINY. And its wasn't inexpensive. Maybe 18" between the end of the beds and the wall and the bathroom was so small it was practically impossible to position over the sink to rinse out after brushing teeth. There was no ventilation in the bathroom except for a small fan so towels never dried out. The only good news was that the windows opened fully which really helped as the weather was hot. We would stay at the Ambassador again, but not in the same room.

Great location to explore Glasgow's West End A conveniently located hotel to explore Glasgow's West End, close to the botanic gardens, Byres Road and numerous shops and restaurants. The hotel is in a quiet street, so not too many cars or people passing by at night. The single room I stayed in was rather small and basic, but offered everything I needed for a couple of nights in Glasgow. Breakfast OK, staff really friendly.

This was my first time staying in Glasgow and we had a lovely time at the Ambassador Hotel. It's also located in a great spot next to many restaurants, shops and even a park, all within walking distance. If we ever come back to Glasgow I would definitely stay here again!

A clean, quiet and friendly hotel in the West End. It’s in a lovely location just off the Botanic Gardens and it’s also close to the Uni. The staff are really polite and helpful. It’s my “go to” option whenever I visit Glasgow.

Great location for everything in the west end. Easy walking distance to the University and Byres Rd area. The room was comfortable and the staff were very helpful. The car park is a little tight but we were very grateful to be able to have somewhere safe to leave the cars. All in all a good choice.
