EXCELLENTBased on 917 reviewsVerifiedClare W2024-11-17Welcoming and kind. Neil and all at the Ambassador were welcoming and kind during my recent stay. I really appreciated their care as had travelled length of UK alone for family funeral. I had a safe place to park, the hotel is right beside the beautiful river and Botanic Gardens. Many thanks.VerifiedCormac K2024-11-07Lovely quaint hotel Quaint spotlessly clean Hotel, friendly staff, modern clean bathroom, only issue mattresses also need updating twin room I booked had 2 old lumpy mattresses but I’m sure this will be forthcoming given the high presentation of the hotel, Situated in a nice part of the city next to the Botanical gardens and the Oran Mor church events venueVerifiedVenture054968209772024-10-23Neill a gentleman My wife took ill while we were on a weekend break had to be rushed to hospital so I had to extend my stay I choose this hotel lovely clean hotel staff were lovely Niell went above and beyond to help a lad under stress while his wife was in hospital I would like to thank him for all.hos kindness didn't go unnoticed a credit to the hotelVerifiedNick A2024-10-17Lovely hotel Lovely hotel, the gentleman who checked us in was fantastic. We travel all over the UK with work, and this was one of the nicer ones we have stayed in.VerifiedAnne H2024-10-07Great for a single traveller Very comfortable and clean single room with view over the botanic gardens . Felt very safe lovely breakfast freshly cooked . 10 mins from buses into Glasgow and the subway stations on Byres Rd and at Kelvin bridge . Easy to use 10 mins to city centre . Cafes bars and shops in west end in easy reach .VerifiedGiovanni M2024-10-05Cozy place in Glasgow's West End The hotel is really nice. It is located in a quiet road, close to the botanic garden. The room was relatively small and basic but with all what I need. It was also very clean. The bathroom was ok, only the washbasin was really small. Excellent breakfast.VerifiedJaime J2024-10-01Good hotel in Glasgow We arrived very late at night after the hotel staff had gone home. Their communication with us was above and beyond though! They emailed me to confirm what time we would be there and they left our keys and room number info for us at the front entrance so we could check ourselves in. We had 2 rooms here, a single room and a double room. While the rooms were very small, they were comfortable and clean. We were pleased with our one night stay here. The hotel is located on a very quiet beautiful street, walking distance to restaurants and the university.VerifiedMarkLA732024-09-29Spotlessly clean hotel in handy location Very clean and spotless hotel. Included free parking around the rear of the hotel. Great location ideal for west end of Glasgow and 5 minutes walks from royal botanical garden. Stayed in double room. Bed very comfortable. Bathroom a bit small but did the job. Fantastic breakfast in the morning. Would stay here again.Verifiedmartinp6920152024-09-25We would definitely come back! We stayed at the Ambassador Hotel for one night. We had a cozy room on the second floor. We felt very comfortable there. Everything was right. The staff were very nice and accommodating even on arrival, breakfast service and departure. Nearby are shops, restaurants and bars. The hotel has its own parking space in the "backyard". The driveway is narrow and parking in and out of the car can be a bit risky depending on occupancy and vehicle size. Possibly look ahead and prefer to ask at the reception for a voucher to park on the street directly at the hotel with the RingGo for 6 pounds a day.VerifiedMIKE T2024-09-25Overall a good experience Great location in the West End of Glasgow. We had a comfortable but smallish twin room with a small bathroom. Welcoming staff and free parking. We will stay again. Breakfast was available but we made other arrangements. Small but useable tv.

The room was an ideal size for a single person. It was clean, warm and comfortable, as was the bed. The bathroom was clean and well appointed and the shower was great.
