Glasgow ‘s West End: The Gateway to Loch Lomond

Getting there

Travelling by car is the fastest way to get to Loch Lomond (in general). From our hotel, in a few minutes you’ll be on the A82 and it’s pretty much a straight run to Loch Lomond. The average journey time is between 40 – 50 minutes depending on traffic, or just over 25 miles.

If you don’t have a car the easiest way to get to Loch Lomond from Glasgow is by train. Head to Glasgow’s Queen Street Station and take the train to Balloch or Helensburgh Lower. Both stations are less than an hour away by train, with regular departures.
