Get Your Glow On

Get Your Glow On At Glasgow

Set to be one of the highlights of the city’s event calendar this year, GlasGLOW is the brainchild of the same team that brought you itison Drive In Movies and looks like it’s going to be just as popular.

Instead of the scary antics that Halloween usually hails, GlasGLOW brings a little bit of sparkle, a dash of modern art and a whole load of entertainment to the West End. Set in the beautiful Botanic Gardens (handily, our next door neighbour) the evening is a treat for the eyes and ears. Essentially a sound and light installation, 80s, Speilberg-esque beats provide the backdrop to a spectacular light-show which highlights some of the Gardens’ horticultural highpoints and uncovers hidden corners not usually explored by visitors.

This magical event is running from October 27th until November 4th and in our previous blog, we unveiled the news that we’ve got two tickets to give away to one lucky reader, plus they’ll get a free night’s stay at the Ambassador Hotel to boot! GlasGLOW is expected to attract tens of thousands of visitors so if you’re coming from out of town and not lucky enough to win a free night at our residence, then get your reservation in early – given that the Botanic Gardens are less than a five-minute walk away from our door, we are expecting to be a popular choice for those looking for accommodation.
